Creative Media in Class

Teacher Training

Turning Classrooms into Creative Media Studios!

In today’s digital world, children express themselves in more ways than just writing. Creative Media in Class is a hands-on workshop designed to help teachers integrate media as a powerful tool for student creativity. Through a mix of theory and practice, we explore how children engage with media today and how the curriculum can evolve to support their diverse ways of expression.

Participants will discover practical ways to incorporate media into their teaching, including film production, podcasting, radio dramas, stop-motion animation, and class blogs. Students can bring stories to life by producing their own films, learning everything from storytelling and scriptwriting to filming, editing, and organizing a film premiere. They can create engaging podcasts or radio dramas, enhancing their oral storytelling and collaboration skills. Stop-motion production introduces them to animation techniques while fostering patience and precision. Running a class blog offers a dynamic way to share stories, document projects, and even connect with a partner class abroad.

This workshop provides teachers with inspiration and practical strategies to foster creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy in the classroom. By embracing media as a tool for expression, students gain confidence in their ability to communicate ideas in multiple ways—preparing them for a world where creative storytelling matters more than ever.
